Phixious Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 I wanna replace the fans in my HAF 922 with ones that can push more air. Noise is not an issue, I just want the best airflow possible. Where can I get some beefy 200mm fans?

cirro Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 (edited) the RPM of the fan has nothing to do with how much air it pushes. don't worry about rpm but instead check for "CFM" thats the amount of air it pushes. worry about RPM when sound is more of a consideration versus airflow killaaaa! i suggest get cheap yate loons i got mine for $2.99 ea with a nice high cfm Edited December 23, 2009 by cirro
xchrissypoox Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 make a duct from the cpu cooler to your current fan
unknownuser200 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 simple answer ios they dont make a powerful 200-250mm fan they already move alot of air even if it doesnt feel like it 150cfm+
xchrissypoox Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Well the antec "big boy" moves a lot of air on high but that doesn't mean it'll fit right.
Phixious Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Oops... I meant to say CFM I was very tired when I made this thread. I don't know the specs of the fans that came with the case, but they feel very weak. It seems like with fans that size they could easily blow 200+ CFM at high enough speeds make a duct from the cpu cooler to your current fan That would be awesome, I just suck at building stuff. Probably would be easy though to make a duct from the rear case fan, to the cpu cooler, and then from the cpu cooler to a 120mm fan on the top top. I have a Megahalems cooler i suggest get cheap yate loons i got mine for $2.99 ea with a nice high cfm Where did you get the 200mm? I can only find 140mm and smaller. Do you think I could get more airflow with 2x 120mm fans, 110CFM each, instead of one 200mm?
cirro Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 ah, i didn't realize you mean the side one, i figured you jsut wanted a 200mm because of more airflow. i had a big like 220mm fan ont he side of mine i took off.. i doubt they make a yate loon that big..
