fire_storm Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 That comic describes perfectly how a computer techs world is like.
Silverfox Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 If you start charging, you get less calls. Worked for me, until they actually agreed to pay. Then I moved across the country - solved many issues.

bp9801 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Wow, so I'm having flashes of every single time I've ever had to do something to my parent's computer. Great comic, way too realistic imo lol.
tjmagneto Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Same here with the flashbacks. I'm not even working for our IT dept anymore and yet I still get questions at work. Guess I'll never fully escape it.
Rokkaholik Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 I've had this happening to me for years, and I don't even work IT... Well... Not yet. The worst part about my habby is when the people expect their old turd of a PC to play all the newest games without having to spend a dime. They just don't understand requirements and they expect me to work miracles. It goes to show you, when you go to polish a turd, it only smears. Ste Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 I have charged family from the start, if not in cash then in food or booze.. This is only a problem IF you don't do that one simple step..
