Andrewr05 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Such a tiny PCB in such a large metal case. But great noise/ripple suppression. Top notch! Which makes you wonder why they didn't run to 90MM fans and make it a smaller form factor PSU?
Zertz Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Which makes you wonder why they didn't run to 90MM fans and make it a smaller form factor PSU? Smaller fans have to spin faster to push as much air, so they are noisier
Scott P Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 I won a Mushkin PSU a few years ago at the old DFI forums and it is still running well.

It will be the same case they use for all the Volta range probably to keep costs down so it may need to take boards for larger power units. Makes sense to keep the same cooling fan as well.
