I believe you are using Linpus Linux.

Found some instructions-

(it is hard at first but it open up your laptop to a whole slew of new things)

  • Go to My Documents
  • Open up the terminal from the "File" menu
  • Type "xfce-setting-show"
  • Press enter
  • Click on "desktop" icon in the window that opened up
  • Click on the "behavior" tab
  • Check the box that says "Show desktop menu on right click"
  • Exit everything back to the main window
  • Right click on the bottom of the screen to confirm that we correctly enabled the desktop menu

Now we have to change the Root password-

[*]Reopen the terminal

[*]Type "Sudo

I would be more help, but I believe Fedora uses a different command than Debian for installs.

But, try looking here.

There is an application dropdown menu where you can select VLC. It supposedly comes with instructions on how to install after download.

To be honest, Ubuntu is a MUCH better alternative to Linpus. Get the "Netbook Remix" version as it would work best for your One.

You can download it from www.ubuntu.com ... but you are better off getting it from a torrent site.

Ubuntu has a built-in software installer and market for different pieces of software available etc. Much easier for the Linux noob.
