Recommended Posts

hello, i currently have this set of gskill ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...1-303-_-Product. i currently have it set at T1 settings, but i was unsure if i was supposed to run it at T1 or T2, my guess is T1 but any help would be appreciated thank you!

isn't t2 actually slower?

don't think that's the case, but the difference is in stability rather than speed. at least that's my understanding...whichever setting provides the highest level of stability is the one to use..

you are right actionstan, t2 is 1 clock cycle slower than t1 but that in itself isn't the determining factor in getting data into and out of a ram module...here is a pretty thorough (not to technical) explanation of the process.
