greengiant912 Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Fewer games, but more innovative and better quality games is their new moto. I personally think EA learned their lesson on the past, and I am glad they did. Unlike some studios whom are just starting to feel this (Activision) http://kotaku.com/5419037/fewer-games-bett...eas-stated-goal I am really glad to see that one of the major Juggernauts of the gaming industry is actually listening to their consumers and revamping their company from the feedback. Hopefully EA dose this right, with the few recent EA games I have played, I can say they are defiantly heading in the right direction! 00stevo Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Ea have been severely poor from ps2 and onward, with the exception of a few games like burnout and black, which were not even made by them as they had aquired the developer. They only have a few franchises like fifa and the like to fall back on now,and the fact they made potentially brilliant games like need for speed go sour has not helped them one bit.The news that criterion is making the next NFS is great news,i know for a fact it'll be brilliant.Give us Black 2,and keep improving fifa and then thats a good start from them.Oh,and bring fight night to GFWL! SMeeD Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Maybe I should be their CEO... Countless others and I have been hoping for this very move. I wonder why it took them so long. "He said, there will be "no less emphasis on innovation. No less emphasis on quality." Well I sure as hell hope not! haha

fire_storm Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I wonder if there going to do it this time. Most of EA games more so the pc then the console versions have been riddled with problems and usually take about a year to fix with about 5-6 patches. Avinexis Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 IT'S ABOUT TIME I was getting sick of their crap. Maybe now they'll churn out some decent stuff rather than piles of useless coding. However I will back greengiant when I say their latest releases do seem to be going in a good direction.
SenitaL Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 IT'S ABOUT TIME I was getting sick of their crap. Maybe now they'll churn out some decent stuff rather than piles of useless coding. However I will back greengiant when I say their latest releases do seem to be going in a good direction. Hmmm, which are their latest releaces? I used to love Electronic Arts back in the days of NFS 3 Hot Pursuit, they really nailed the feeling of an arcade style racer.. and the cop chases being Breathtaking! but after that the NFS series just started to DIE, most wanted was good but everything else afterwords has just been Steadily and Noticably worse and worse. Now the only things that i liked from them were Dead space and Burnout, which they didnt even make <_< I Really hope that EA are going back to their roots, Especially in the NFS series. Also i absalutly HATE their DRM method thing they use, I used to have 3 EA accounts and understandably i couldnt keep up with usenames & passwords, so i delited 2 of them and between them i had like 4 NFS games, now i cant play Underground, Underground 2, Most wanted or Carbon Online because every time i try and regester my key it keeps telling me that its already been regestered :angry2: :angry2: :angry2: Ofcourse i sent them an email and i was optamistic that they would live up to their 'reply in 24 hour guaranteed' and i STILL havent heard back from them (like 3 weeks later) so EA has been put on my blacklist of Terrible Companys and i doubt its going to come of it unless they can prove themselves worthy again. Criterion is making the next NFS... Now that IS good news!

LoArmistead Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Fewer games, but more innovative and better quality games is their new moto. And it took them this long to figure this one out? We've been saying this since we were teenagers years ago.
molotovdaskwerl Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 (edited) well it's nice to see someone wanting to empasis the idea that games are art and make a good, original, fun and hopefully challenging game (crossin my fingers thats what they are aiming for, article was TL, DR (i wanna go play MW2)) MW2 is fun art but nothing to scream GOTY about Edited December 5, 2009 by molotovdaskwerl
