I have very bad experiances with OEMs. Not with the manufacter but with the companys that ship them. Something like a CPU I would go retail all the way. That is just my 2 cents.

guys? pardon the stupid question - but how do I find out that all the parts I've chosen for my PC are in fact x64 capable? does it even make a difference? or should they always have it clearly printed?

a PC builder told me (though he didn't build gamer PC's, but more work/net surfers)...

but I found a EVGA board that seems like it'll do the trick. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813188039

Asus is a good board until you need support or RMA or so I have read the stories, I know they dont keep up with there drivers and bios to good...

My friend in Canada had an old ASUS motherboard and it did have a BIOS update to support newer 45nm CPU's.

Other than that I don't have any personal experience with ASUS support.
