Iam looking at a new water block for my i7 860 i have been told that the HEATKILLERS are the best to get for this core.

But there seems to be at least 3 that all look the same but all going up in price. Can anyone else just see Y please . Aslo please if you have and better ideas on a cooler just say.

I have the heatkiller copper block, and its a great block. I did not write down what the difference was but I had removed a GTZ and put the heatkiller in its place awhile back. It seemed to be better than the GTZ but I did not do a direct comparison, it was just one of those things where I changed it and instantly noticed hey this is much better...

That's a good piece of information. I put the GTZ on my i7 920. It performs pretty good and I thought it was the best at the time. But I may try a heatkiller just based on your recommendation :)

The GTZ is a good block, matter fact I just put the one I had taken off on another rig night before last. Heck I am even using an old fusion ver.1 on an i7, it keeps it in check at 4.5Ghz crunching...

That doesn't sound right..... Maybe the block is obstructed? I've never used the "cup fill" measurement method :) But I do use a reservoir and water just rolls through there. My loop is pump>cpu>radiator>reservoir>pump

It was like that the day i fitted it all.

My set up> 750lh submersible pump feeding a 500lh PUMP >CPU > Res.

1/2inc pipe work

Like i say before the CPU the water is like a garden hose it will empty the 25l res in 2 mins (max) but after its realy bad.
