Should I overclock to 4Ghz+?

Recommended Posts

If that were my rig, running a 130W quad core processor at 3.7ghz under an air cooler, I would be very happy with those results.

Really? Do my temps match what is expected from a 38% overclock?

Your temps are great, no problems at all. You may want to enable hyper threading and see what your temps are then (should be fine) in case

you need the extra compute power at some point.

Ha...! 3.8Ghz at 1.15v for me :D

K, I'm keeping it at 3.6-3.8Ghz I think. Just seeking the lowest vCore ATM. Testing 1.1v for 3.6Ghz. Hope I can go even lower :D

Nice. I sit at 3.8 with turbo and HT on. I let it idle in C1/C2 etc states. uses less power at 12x 161mhz lol good for browsing teh web, then when i game it jacks it up to 3.8 again.

I can 24/7 ORTHOS and wPrime at 3.8 1.2v I might try to drop it one notch and go for 24/7 this weekend.
