pezcore Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 My computer runs just fine at 4.0GHz, but I can't pass any tests. Gets to 72* on 3rd pass of intel burn test and freezes. It also froze a minute or so into Everest stress test. I can play games fine, but it freaks out on tests.
RJR Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Hehehe... Downclocked to 3.6Ghz with a vCore of 1.10625. Prime95 8h stable. Max temps 57/53/52/51 Yes! I passed 10 IntelBurnTest runs with vCore 1.1 Words are boring, lets see some screen shots. NICE processor you have there!

Mine does that if I drop it to anything lower than 1.1 @3.8. I'm only sitting at 1.2vCore for definate stability. I could go lower I think. Might try it this weekend. I feel a 24hr OC session taking place! :P :P

wevsspot Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 Not comparing apples to oranges. We are running i7 920's - pez is running a Q9550 (at least that's what his sig indicates) 4.0ghz on a Q9550 is a tall order........... WR6X Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I would try to get to 4Ghz. I'm running 4022Mhz @ 1.26850V. No probs. Temps are max 75 degrees C @ 100% load. If you have a good cooler these temps are no problem at all. Right now i'm trying to get to 4.1GHz. As long as my temps stay under 80 i'm happy with it.
