cjloki Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 i'd like to find out which torrent engine is the best, since the only experience i have has been with utorrent. what do you all think and what do you use the most ?
WhenKittensATK Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I use uTorrent, but I believe they are working on a new version with a built-in upload throttle . So hopefully there will be an option to turn that off.

cirro Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 (edited) if you use utorrent, anything above 1.8.1 has been known to have reporting issues. i used the java based azereus for a little bit, but its a memory hog like no other. utorrent is mine of choice, but if you want something new, bitcommet isn't bad. upload throttling can somewhat be helped if you ISP is slapping you, make sure you "force encryption" Edited November 11, 2009 by cirro

Waco Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 http://torrentfreak.com/utorrent-2-0-to-el...ottling-091031/ I don't see a problem with that at all. It's actually pretty awesome since destroying your connection by uploading is the easiest way to make your torrents run extremely slow.
