The Smith Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 I would wait a short while before buying a netbook for gaming. Right now, some can be had with great GPUs such as the HP Pavilion Dv2 (HD3410) and the HP mini 331 (Ion), but the CPUs are still very weak. I suggest you wait either for the Atom dual-core with Ion or the Athlon Neo X2 paired with the HD3200, which should be stronger than the Atom. http://www.netbookchoice.com/2009/10/30/ms...owered-netbook/
flareback Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 My suggestion is to try to get your hands on one before you buy. I bought as Asus Eee pc 1000H and the right shift key is in a horrible location. It's on the right side of the up arrow key so I always hit the up arrow when I try to hit the shift key. What sort of casual games? And I like the Ubuntu Netbook Remix if you want linux on it.
IVIYTH0S Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 ugh gaming on a laptop is horrible, not to mention a netbook would be x10. The better they get at games, the worse the battery life would be on one.
