guyrichi247 Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 OCZ Platinum 1600MHz Vs. G.Skill Trident 2000MHz (both 6GB) Both of these sets of DDR3 RAM are the same price and I was wondering whcih would be better to invest in. I have read reviews of the OCZ's and they seem great for their price and the G'Skill's are really cheap for 2000MHz sticks. I was wondering if the high end 1600MHz OCZ's with lower timings would be better than the 2000MHz G.Skill's?
Waco Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Neither will show a noticeable difference so choose whichever you like better.

red930 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Taking a common DDR3 1.600MHz is the best way to go; latencies and such do not bring anything. The 1.600 is for easier overclocking (easier to set (find a common) multiplies).
