suchuwato Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Update: You'll need Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter driver version 4.176.75.18 for the WN311B to work with Windows 7 for the moment until Netgear get off of their arse and write some proper x64 drivers for Win 7 - It should be the default on the Windows 7 disc, so don't install the driver from Windows Update! Well, it did to start off with, then I ran Windows Update, restarted and it's dead - it shows up as a Broadcom device, and won't find any networks. Any Ideas? JBags Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 did Windows Update want to install a different/"new" driver for it?? if so, you may want to try rolling back to the old driver.
suchuwato Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I've got no idea how to roll back in 7... i can't find it! Erm, the right driver is on there, but when I try to select it, Windows won't have any of it... insists it's a Broadcom driver I need (wrong) I guess I can have a go at uninstalling the broadcom drivers - maybe that'll work?
