Asus VH236H problems

I've had this monitor for a week now and it flickers and has vertical stripes is about the best way I can explain it (kind of scary when it happens)... I never had this problem with a 19 inch Acer I was using before or any lcd monitors that my wife or sons are/were using.

The problem is when I power it up... it goes nuts every once in a while for about an hour or so then seems to stabilize and stay calm after that.

Should I contact the vendor to see how they can help me or should I get in touch directly with Asus to work things out?

Thanks.

yeah, I'd contact Asus. If you have a digital camera, snap some shots of it in action.

It almost sounds like an overheating or CFL issue with it. Definitely contact ASUS and let them know about it, you should be covered under warranty for that. It may be a simple fix you can do yourself, but without fully knowing what is causing it, its just easier to contact them and see what they say.

:withstupid: I remember my friends Acer was overheating and it would have these issues. Then after awhile it died entirely.
