nns Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 I think the XMP certification is for i5 and not i7.. so you may have issues if you overvolt to get those timings!
TropicalPreist Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Is that true? Oh god i hope not i just ordered another set the other day!
nns Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 see if you can cancel the order... There are some other good stick available.. In case you can't cancel the order, CL9 isn't too bad.. I mean it will not really reduce the performance! Try to squeeze out the thightest of timings you can get at 1.65 volts! You should be able to do at least 800MHz @ CL9! xchrissypoox Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 (edited) DDR3 1600 6-7-6-18 timings, 1.6v. That is a pretty sick set of memory. Well I'd have to agree, except for the ugly cooler, too bad they aren't red and wavy. edit: holy moly first newegg review: Was able to run cas 6-7-6-12 at 1900mhz before I had stability problems.Pics or it didn't happen. HAHA much better newegg review: cons: be careful when you are installing it. The heatspreader is very sharp on the top and I cut my finger open pushing it into the socket. not very bad but it bled. Other people's pain can be funny Edited October 30, 2009 by xchrissypoox
