I'm buying a new motherboard.

Recommended Posts

Hi.

Yes, I'm replacing my old eVGA 680i SLI motherboard.

Even a slight improvement would be welcome.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what motherboard I can replace it with?

Mainboard : EVGA 122-CK-NF68

Chipset : nVidia nForce 680i SLI SPP

Processor : Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 @ 2666 MHz

Physical Memory : 6144 MB

Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS

Hard Disk : Maxtor (500 GB)

Hard Disk : SAMSUNG (500 GB)

Hard Disk : WDC (1000 GB)

DVD-Rom Drive : PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-112D ATA Device

DVD-Rom Drive : SAMSUNG CDRW/DVD SM-332B ATA Device

DVD-Rom Drive : AT5373S JJC296P SCSI CdRom Device

Monitor Type : Samsung SyncMaster - 20 inches

Operating System : Windows Vista Ultimate Professional 6.00.6000

Oh, and I have a sound card too.

I'm also adding a second graphics card and they're huge, so I want some PCI slots left over for my sound card.

Thank you much!

If the only thing you want to change is your motherboard than the only solution I really see is going to a 780i board and it actually is only a slight improvement, you won't notice any difference in performance or anything.
