pezcore Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Ran the tropics one, I'm getting flickering in some of the scenes :angry2:

Waco Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Not much better than you Waco. Keep in mind you're running 1920x1200 versus 1920x1080 too.
IVIYTH0S Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Keep in mind you're running 1920x1200 versus 1920x1080 too. this is true here's my tropics results (which I mentioned before thinking that I was talking about the right benchmark)
Fieldsy Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Hows this rate? Avinexis Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 (edited) Hmm, I get 19 frames in places with my 5850 at 1280 x 1024 (at the statue of the dragon with tesselation during daylight). I really need a better CPU xD I honestly didn't think tesselation would impact performance that heavily =S Does Heaven use Dx11 multi-threading? Waco Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Does Heaven use Dx11 multi-threading? DX10 and DX11 are always multi-threaded.
Zertz Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 DX10 and DX11 are always multi-threaded. IIRC DX11 is supposed to allow games to scale better on more cores
Avinexis Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 IIRC DX11 is supposed to allow games to scale better on more cores Yeah, that's why I was asking. I wanted to know if multi-threading would help remove this CPU locking problem I have even slightly, but I guess not =P
OCFreak Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Ran it and scored a 1091 points with a 5770.
Puck Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 So what have the "standard settings" ended up at? 1920x1080 and everything maxed?
CowKing Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 (edited) well i havn't ran the benchmark but all i have to say is that, that road would not be fun to walk on I think i would want to turn tessellation off to protect my virtual feet Edited November 1, 2009 by CowKing
