paulktreg Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 (edited) a few quick questions. Which would be better at folding: 9500gt or Phenom I 9650 2.3ghz. Also, at home i have the rig in my sig ill start folding on as well as a ps3 ill fold on while sleeping. Also I am wondering how i join up on an OCC team? Graphic cards give much higher PPD but I don't know much about folding on quads? I suppose if you could fold on all four cores you'd probably get similar points? I have one CPU client running on my E8500 that gives approx. 1000PPD, two 9600GSO that give approx. 3500PPD each and a 8800GS that gives approx. 4500PPD just to give you an idea. You join the OCC team by putting team number 12772 in the configuration. Have a look at this page. Hope that helps. Crazy_Nate Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 http://sites.google.com/site/techtdsn/fold...home/gpu-graphs Looks like ~1300 PPD for the 9500GT (it's got half of the stream processors that a 9600GT has) Down a little way, there's some numbers for the Phenom I's: http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=38...61&start=30 Under linux : 3700 PPD @ 3.4 GHz 3500 PPD @ 3.2 GHz Under windows : 2900 PPD @ 3.2 GHz 2500 PPD @ 2.9 GHz All folding p2653 ...
