ClayMeow Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Assassin's Creed is available for a mere $5 on Steam if you buy before Thursday. If you've been waiting to play this game, I don't think you'll ever get a better deal than this. It's a very good game. Though it gets repetitive, the storyline kept me fully engaged 'til the end. And AC2 looks like it'll be even better, so if you're interested in that, you should definitely play AC first.

IVIYTH0S Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Wow, I was about to post this. How is it without a controller? I heard it is adapted well so it's fun either way, but you can't always plug a controller in if it's that unbearable
ocre Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 i enjoyed it a lot i bought it when it first came out, but i just didnt like it without a controller. Thats when i broke down and got me a wired Xbox 360 controller for like 20$. A mad catz knock off. I couldnt enjoy it without one, i played it a bit on the xbox before i got the PC version. I used my controller on a lot of the cross platform games since. GTA4, Gohstbustas, Batmans AA, a bunch of them. So i dont think it was a bad decision. Some of those games were meant for a controller. But some ppl will call you a wussy for using a controller on PC. I am a proud wussy. fps were meant for Keyboard and mouse, AC was meant for a controller. There will be many many other games cross platform and a 360 controller will come in handy

There will be many many other games cross platform and a 360 controller will come in handy I have a gamepad, and will use it for some platformers, sports games, etc. However, Assassin's Creed and Batman: Arkham Asylum play perfectly on the keyboard/mouse. It'll take some getting used to, but once you do, you'll find it to be extremely fluid. There is definitely no need to buy a gamepad for either of those games. Neither of those games were "meant for a controller." Neither are simple console ports, they're true multi-platform games.
