nickosha Posted October 18, 2009 MW2 matchmaking service They are replacing the dedicated servers with IWNet, a matchmaking service. That's right, no picking favorite servers, no making a clan server, and probably no mods or custom maps. I was considering skipping this MW2 because of the price tag, but now I definitely am. nickosha Posted October 18, 2009 (edited) One guess for why the heck they would do this is so they can sell DLC by blocking other outlets of getting content. Who knows though. I have to guess that it wasn't the COD team that made the decision, considering they started out on PC. Edited October 18, 2009 by nickosha
WhenKittensATK Posted October 18, 2009 I generally like server lists, because I always play on one-two servers and get to know all the other players. Anyways my brother is buying this on the 360, so I don't need to spend any to buy the PC version.

Deathmineral Posted October 18, 2009 Wow, now that is disappointing, I was considering getting this game but I'm pretty confident I won't now.
premiumgfx Posted October 18, 2009 http://www.overclockersclub.com/news/25732/ It's very bad news in my opinion, the COD4 multiplayer is great. Why change it?

Comp Dude2 Posted October 18, 2009 All I have to say is what the ****!? Why the heck would they do this? COD4 had a pretty crap sever list system (compared to source games) and now they are going to cock everything up with this. .....I say cancel your pre-order, see how the new crappy system works (or doesn't)
Jump4h Posted October 18, 2009 I am definently disappointed, but I will see how it plays out. Who knows, it might be good.
Krieg1337 Posted October 18, 2009 Wait, does this mean it will be like in Company of Heroes RANKED? Where you press "GO" and it puts you together with players your level? But TWL will still exist for this right? My whole clan has been waiting for this, no matches and this game will be skipped.
labatt_splatts Posted October 18, 2009 Was pretty excited about this game, especially the 2-player co-op. A little ticked when the release date got pushed, but managed. Now this?! Now L4D2 and Borderlands are my top prospects.
