WilliamP Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 I have a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P MOBO, an E8500 processor and OCZ DDR2 1066 memory. I have overclocked the processor to 4GB. The memory is at 1125. Is this going to be a problem? I have run Memtest and Prime95 with no problems.
JBags Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 (edited) if you've run memtest and prime95 successfully (assuming for a decent period of time) then it shouldn't be. but if you're still concerned you could always loosen the timings or bump the voltage Edited October 15, 2009 by fearspartan117
WilliamP Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 How long do you have to run Prime95 or Memtest?
JBags Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 How long do you have to run Prime95 or Memtest? Prime95 is recommended like ~12 hours for a final OC to ensure stability. ~8 hours minimum i'd say. Memtest you should allow multiple passes.. though it usually picks up on errors fairly quickly.. i'd say a few hours
