Jump4h Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Wow, looks cool. Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a 3d camera than spend money on two diffrent ones?
suchuwato Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 They're not my cameras... I only spent

OwinC Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 I thought that was pretty cool. My daughter says that the center lines of the cameras need to get closer. She says they are separated to far. So do a camera mod to get the lenses closer.
suchuwato Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 That's a bit of a trick with shooting 3D movies... the lens spacing was almost exactly the same as the distance between my eyes, but it's very hard to get right. For the next one I'm going to shoot in a studio with 2 synchronised JVC cameras, which will have to have a greater distance between them, but i'll be able to compensate by staging the focal distance to what I now know to be ideal This new improved setup is virtually identical to what's used to shoot proper theatrical 3D films, so it should turn out well
hardnrg Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 weren't you going to do HDR time-lapse with this set up? I don't know how that would work as an anaglyph lol...
suchuwato Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 weren't you going to do HDR time-lapse with this set up? I don't know how that would work as an anaglyph lol... That project got abandoned, as the people funding it were a bunch of incompetent jackasses. I'd need 3 identical HD cameras with all manual controls, which is quite hard to come by! <_< I may try again sometime though.
