xlrwrite Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Testing out some Crucial 64GB solid state drives. They formatted OK but, I would like to do a bit more robust performance testing. Any suggestions?

Fight Game Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 (edited) hd tach, hd tune, and atto. If running under vista or win7, one of these need to be ran in compatability mode for xp, but I can't remember which. They are all free. xlrwrite Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Thanks guys! I downloaded HD Tach... the test is working OK but, when I try to read the log file that gets saved in the HD Tach directory, it keeps trying to open with Wordpad, and most of the info is gibberish. is HD Tach supposed to install some kind of reader? BTW, I am on XP pro.
Waco Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 You can't look at the file directly, you can open it in HD Tach though. I prefer ATTO over HD Tach.
