Car Sub?

Hi I currently have a pair of Altec Lansing Atp3 speakers for my computer it has a 6 inch subwoofer with it. It bumps ok but is there any way that I could maybe buy a differnt subwoofer like for a car and hook it up to the speakers? Is there any type of speakers that I could hook up to my computer that actually bumps good without spending a lot of money??? I was thinking of getting a 10inch sub from ebay and trying to hook it up to my computer would this work????

I was thinking of getting a 4.1 klipse but it costs to much, i could get it on ebay for 140 though, but a car sub would bump a lot better if it could work.
