sdinesh86 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 hi friends Good Morning, My system Specs AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE ASUS M4A78T-E Palit 4850 512 mb Gfx Cooler master Extreme power 600W 70% eficiency cooler master hyper cooler for CPU WD 500GB cavair green to day i had a thought and time to move into OC'ing the sys, first i used turboV the utility by ASUS and bumped up the Multiplier from 14X to 16.5X but windows vista's info says that my speed is 2.8 ghz (thats stock speed) then i used Cpuz and here are some screenshots of it now i am bit confused did i get evrything correct or notAttachments Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

rourkchris Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 AMD's Cool n' Quiet is likely enabled in the BIOS. This downclocks your CPU's speed when there is no demand. Just put it under load and see if it increases the clock speed. I haven't used Asus overclocking utility so I can't help with that. AMD Overdrive is another overclocking utility you can try if you don't want to overclock from the BIOS. Once you find your stable settings I recommend you set your timings and voltages in the BIOS.
