I'd take an APC UPS over any of the off-brands you mentioned.

Even a 650 watt UPS should keep you running long enough to shut down.

Personally I wouldn't have bought an Aerocool PSU. I used to like them till I blew two of them up on a load well under their rating.

EDIT: Does Aerocool even have a 600 watt PSU? I can't find one on their site. I blew up two of the 550w AeroPower black/silver PSUs though.

wew how come,,

aerocool already have 80 bronze award right? @[email protected]

APC is too expensive and it's only 650 watt,,

it really can hold that much?

coz i think a 600 watt ups only can hold a 400 watt rig,,

please also give me explanation instead of only answering,, thx

I'd choose the APS because it's a name brand and they are known to actually meet their ratings where many cheap off-brand backups don't. A 600 watt UPS can hold a 600 watt load for a few minutes if rated correctly.

As for the Aerocool power supplies...I blew two of them with two separate systems. Neither system pulled much more than 350-400 watts and the PSUs were rated for 550 watts. :angry2:

and i don't want to buy a new ups anymore in the future

my end spec is my rig plus one new vga card for CF,, then 24" monitor and a speaker

i'm sure 650 watt won't hold on,,

if i buy laplace should i buy 1000 va? or 1200 va? or higher wattage?

cause the apc only available till the 650 watt in my country =)

The APC is expensive because it's good quality. I have never heard of any of the other ones you listed.

Just remember, you get what you pay for. It sounds like the brands you are looking at might not be very high quality.

The rigs they blew up in ran 24/7...I would guess they were actually loaded down about 25% of the time. I just don't trust any Aerocool PSU any more.

Why the heck would you plug your speakers in??? A UPS is only there to shut down your computer when the power goes out and protect against brownouts. The APC 650 watt will be MORE than enough to keep your computer and monitor on until you can hit the shutdown button.

As I said before, don't waste your time with crappy off-brands. They'll only cause you grief.

nothing just what i'm usually do,, haha,,

is there any other brand than APC?

the price is too high

If the price is too high for a $100 APC then wait till you can afford it. A crappy one will only cause you grief.
