cali101 Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Tried my other psu, along with my old case and motherboard. Also tried downclocking my cpu (it was overclocked ( it was at 3.62 GHz) ). That didn't change anything. Tried using different graphics (my old chipset, an Intel GMA 950) and that seemed to make everything work. Pretty sure that the graphics card is wrecked. Gonna either get HD 4890 vapor-x or 2 x HD 4770 voltage tweak ............
xly15 Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Why not just try and get a 5870 now?
N.E.A Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Why not just try and get a 5870 now? it will be bottle necked by his cpu and it is very large and that will make him get a new case and he will pay good money for it , if you wish to get another card get 5850 if you want dx11 and if you can afford it , if not 4890/4870 but notice 5850 is a waste if you play at lower than 1650*1050 (20 inches display )

cali101 Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 (edited) Yeah, i'm pretty sure it would... its 12.2 inches from the back of the card to the H.D.D bay (so provided you don't have all of the expansion bays full, it should be fine).
