char1ie Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 You should probably see about moving everything to a new case and mobo, since most companies like e-Machines will lock you out of access to their BIOS and thus prevent you from overclocking. Plus it would be better if you got a new aluminum case with better airflow that way you don't fry anything when you OC.

char1ie Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 Done, i just switched to the mother board to my friends old P4 2.8 It realy bugs me that i have to reinstall windows chipsets though If you moved your hard drive too, you shouldn't have to reinstall windows, just have to instll the drivers for the new mobo chipset and all of that. From there you can overclock by going into the BIOS (hold down the delete key on your keyboard as your computer boots up) and increase the FSB by incriments of no more than 5 mhz at a time. Check the overclocking FAQ at the main page for more detailed instructions. http://www.overclockersclub.com/overclockingfaq.php
