This thread just keeps getting weirder and weirder...

Like I told you in PMs, I think you should stop thinking about new hardware. You should keep your 4870 and you should buy a new monitor. At this point, I think it's a waste to buy anything less than 1080p. Find a monitor that says its "Native Resolution" is 1920x1080. Also, I don't recommend using this resolution on a 21" or 22" monitor, even though it's available and cheap. You should be looking at 24" screens.

It sounds like you're trying to get a really cheap screen and I think that's a BIG mistake. The LCD screen is one of the most important parts of your PC. If you buy a cheap one, all of your games are going to look cheap. That seems like a waste to me since your PC is so great.

sorry for being a weirdo moderator

i'm just a newbie who have many curiosiry and need many explanation,,

that's why i'm asking here,,

ok then,, i'll start saving my money to buy a new lcd,,

if you get a 22" then get 1680x1050 and if you get a 24" then go for 1920x1200/1920x1080. The problem with running high resolutions on screens that really shouldn't is that everything will be really small. Running the native resolution will be just as crisp as long as you get a good native within the correct ratio. 1440x900 sounds about appropriate for a 19" (17's pushing it) but it should look fine if it was released natively with that

so if i have enough budget i better take 24" 1080p right?

but i think my budget can only get me to 22" wide 1080 p hehe

if you're fine with things being kinda small, than take the 22" but the 24" will have things being the correct size
