anthony Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 Hi, I have a light-on keyboard... and it has a button called FN beside the right shift. I always wondered what it meant.. but never bothered to ask..so .... now im asking... what does the FN button do? I looked it up on google.. no straight forward answers.. so im coming here to ask.. I supose one of you amazingly briliant computer geniuses would know?
Transattic Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 yah its like on your calculator... its allows you to do another function just like the button "2nd" on your Ti-83plus or any scientific calc ... those bottons may be aka "shift" or "ctrl". So basicly if you have any marked keys which have similar colors or figures on it just like how the FN key does... then thats what you can do. For example, FN + B makes something work in windows... its equivalant to using Ctrl + X as the "cut" function. If this doesnt make any sense... then i am totally wrong and i have just wasted my time replying. GL.
Propane Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 function... you have to hit it to use the function keys or use the second function keys... my logitec has one called f-lock and i think it is the same thing
