Paranoid Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 New Computer: Celeron 466MHz 256MB SD-RAM @ 100MHz PCChips Mainboard 10GB Maxtor ATA100 AMD "Barton" Heatsink I don't know if this is capable of anything, but it's worth a shot. I'll probably buy a replacement motherboard, and overclock it to 700MHz+ if I can get it that high. I also need a CD-ROM to install either Red-Hat Linux 9.0, or Windows 98SE. Paranoid Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 I hyave a copy of 98SE, but I can't afford a motherboard to overclock with, so it'll have to wait a week or two. I had the SOYO 7VMA-B before, and got a P3 600 up to 764MHz on stock cooling, so I'm looking at buying one of those. I don't like SOYO, but for $45, it's a fairly good board. Folding had problems with this computer non-overclocked, so I'll wait until I get the new board. I'm going to put a stock XP 2800+ heatsink on it, so heat shouldn't be a problem.
