TheConqueror Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Hey guys! Anyway there is some strange problem with my computer. Basically, sometimes, especially when I try to play games or do something graphics intensive, my screen just turns a random color. So far I had pink and screen. Then it just gets stuck. I think this is the video card, how can I solve this problem?

xchrissypoox Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 If it is the whole screen it may be the plug going from your video card to the screen, mine used to come loose and show magenta, and yellow, from pins not touching.
TheConqueror Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 new problem, computer just wont boot. Help please please
IVIYTH0S Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 your ram could be outright dead, try removing all the sticks and trying the computer and see if the result is the same. If it boots or beeps then try putting each stick in at a time and see if it will boot up. If you can get it to boot then run memtest on it
TheConqueror Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 found out I have boot block checksum. How can i fix this?
Crazy_Nate Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 You're running 6GB on a motherboard that can only do dual channel...that can't be helping the situation. Try two DIMMs, run memtest... It really sounds like you've got plenty of instability. Check your voltages (make sure memory is set to manufacturer recommended). If you've gotten memtest errors with the settings you used to install windows...there's no guarantee that it even installed properly. Start simple...check, add more stuff, check. TheConqueror Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 I bought a 6GB kit but I am only using 4GB in dual channel (Dims 3 and 4 because the rest are blocked by heatsink). Why did this happen to me.
Crazy_Nate Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Does it pass memtest? Did you run Prime95 or OCCT? What about some of the graphics card tests like FurMark? What PSU are you using?
TheConqueror Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Using a OCZ StealthXStream 700W (in sig). I cant run any tests, the damn thing won't turn on. I did do prime though, on blend, before this thing broke.
