opps thought you were able to my bad but none the less shows there almost out

im afraid to see the price on the 1 tb cascade series however... i figure by this time next year 1 tb driver will be more common made by manufacturer and will be much cheaper like all the other SSDs id like to see what a pair in raid zero can do with a 256 cache a 4 independent controllers... etc

The real (and only) problem with these drives is that a SINGLE Indilix drive can saturate a SATA 3 Gb/s link...so what the hell is the point in 4 of them (aside from possible higher IOPs at small block sizes)?

I'd rather see a quad-chip drive that has multiple SATA links on it to increase bandwidth.

Considering the fact I could build a decent rig with 2x of these in raid and be as fast for cheap I am not amazed: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16822116059 of corse gnereally unless its a server there is no onboard SCSI so one would need a controller card but still when will SSDs ever drop enough in price to even compete.

That drive won't touch any decent SSD...even with a few of them in RAID 0.

not to mention at that price... I'm all over an SSD. Raptors and those 15k rpm POS's are overpriced with alot less reasons to be than an SSD.

I'm trying to unload my Veloci at every turn.
