Hello all,

Ive been cruising around here asking questions here and there and I have finally decided on what I am going to be buying. So Here are all the parts that I will hit the checkout button on in a few hours so if there is something drastic you see please post soon lol. I am going through 2 stores. Newegg and ZipZoomfly. Most parts are coming from Zip becase of the Bing cash back program. (getting 282 from that and 160 in MIB)

CPU: Core i7 920

MB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813186163

Mem: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ctCode=10009623

HD: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ctCode=10008824

Graphics: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ctCode=10010987

CPU Cooler: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ctCode=10010387

PS: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ctCode=10010478

DVD/CD: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ctCode=10010736

Case: Buying locally since I live in hawaii and newegg was near 150 for shipping for the HAF 932 Soooooo. I am getting a Cosmos S black for 200

That is about it really. I know some may suggest changing the Mobo to an Asus but the rampage is too much and I cant get over the beautiful color layout on the Foxxconn lol. There will be a theme happening inside the case although some may think its goofy or whatever but its kinda a show piece for me.

Thanks all

Check out the mushkin redlines they have the same speed with tighter timings than the OCZ's. Plus they have red heatspreaders to go with your theme haha.

Great thinks alot for that info... Going to go look at em now :)

Um which ones lol.... I see there are 2 different 6g kits for that product line both different speeds and diff timings. The ones closer to the price of the ocz's is 180+ and the the others are over 200... Do you think the mushkins are that much better than the ocz's for the price? If not I can always change the heat spreaders lol

Hey there again and btw thxk for all the replies you have done to all my post over the last several months lol.

Here is the big reason I decided to shop on Zip instead of newegg.

newegg charges alot more for shipping for the same exact fedex 2 dat service. ie 30+ more...

if you shop through Bing microsoft has deals with certain retailers to save up to 20% which they give as cash back. So I am for example saving 62 dollars on the cpu, 30 on the mem, and so on... the savings with rebates came out to 442 dollars. I purchased everything I posted plus a new router, mouse, keyboard and it came to 1414 with shipping before rebates etc... so after its all said and done and I get my cash back I would have spent under 1100. the video card is only actualy costing me 143 bucks :)

So with that info and the money difference what do you think?

Thanks

oh, well you could try and find those same components on Zip ;). I didn't mean you should only goto newegg, I just did a quick post up of the component changes you ought to make (in my humble opinion)

Yeah that is the only downside to zip sometimes. THey do not have all the component s that newegg has to offer. but for the most part they do fairly well. There graphics choices in ATI products are extrmely low compared to newegg but they have plenty of NVidia stuff. I looked for the memory there aslo but they did not have the gskill ones you mentioned. (I really liked those :( too bad /cry)

I was thinking however with the money that I am saving I could get a second 4890 graphics card :) but then again it would prob be pointless when I only have a 19inc monitor atm.

I cant believe how freakin big the cosmos case is though lol. My wife saw it in the corner and asked me when I bought a portable air conditioner lol.

Here's some OCZ sticks with the same latency specs as the Gskills/Mushkins but it's alot more expensive so I don't know if you'd want em: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ctCode=10010265

Here's the Seagate at Zip too: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...odlist=celebros (should be faster and cheaper)

The PCP&C at Zip: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...odlist=celebros
