Jump4h Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Well, here are my opinions. -Swapping that processor for an i7 will save you money (atleast in Finland) and you could overclock the i7 for much better performance. -Using the saved money you could get a GTX275/285 Or, wait 2-3 months and get the brand new GT300 and 5800 cards Also, if you have very thick walls and your wireless base station is far away, you might want to take a look at the 300Mbps cards just to be sure. I myself use Linksys WMP300n.

damian Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 (edited) I suggest you shuffle some parts and try and squeeze in 3X2GB of memory. Edited August 12, 2009 by damian
pkilway Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 I suggest you shuffle some parts and try and squeeze in 3X2GB of memory. +1 What resolution do you use/game at? You could save some money by getting a 4870 or 4850 and invest it in more RAM.
Luminous Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 (edited) +1 What resolution do you use/game at? You could save some money by getting a 4870 or 4850 and invest it in more RAM. Resolution on this Monitor 1680 by 1050 at the moment - this be the one i'll be using with this computer. I'll have look, it might be cheaper to buy p.c. then add some more RAM in. if it not to expensive i'll upgrade it to 6gbs. Thanks for you help! Much appreciated. Jump4h Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 You must absolutely get a aftermarket cpu cooler if you plan to overclock.
