00stevo Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 I only ask because im getting a LOT of micro-stutters from certain games.Cod 4 being the main one.I have an XFX 4850,and my previous card was doing the same thing(xfx 4830).But i always get my drivers from ATI.Are there small optimizations that individual manufacturers do with their line of cards? Cos i know that some use custom pcb's and that.Ive already registered my card with xfx and ive downloaded the 9.7 support files.Should i install them to see if my problem goes away? xly15 Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Most likely manufactures probably don't change the drivers because it would require them to send by ATI again just for little tweaks. They would rather leave that up to you. They're probably just the same drivers as the ones on ATI's site. It would seem that you are having some problems because I read your other thread about the problem.
