im having troube setting up the ipb email settings, and as a result im having to manualy validate members, i cant figure out whats wrong with the setings

im using x10hosting.com as a smtp host at the moment becuase my current host net16.net doesnt support smtp, i plan on moving my forum to x10hosting.com as soon as they get back to me on a sql server problem.

the email setting in ipb:

Board incoming email address
This is the email address that all incoming mail is addressed to. my personal email adress

Board outgoing email address
This is the email address that all mail appears to come from. [email protected]

Over-ride SMTP Host? mail.nightsider.x10hosting.com
Default is 'localhost'

Over-ride SMTP Port? 26
Default is 25

Add '<' and '>' to 'to' and 'from' addresses? no

SMTP UserName
Not required in most cases when using 'localhost'

[email protected] my password

PHP Mail Extra Options
Example: [email protected] will force a 'From' header. blank

can anyone see any issues with what i have put in

From what you have listed, the only thing I can see is in your settings you have the user name listed as '[email protected]' whereas the manual settings have your user name listed as 'admin+nightsider.x10hosting.com'. Verify which is correct.

Aside from that, are there any errors?
