Mac VS Pc

Hey guys. I've recently really been wanting to purchase an iMac 24" for 1500.00 from best buy. I've never owned or really personally used a Mac so I could use someone's help possibly telling me some pros and cons of buying a Mac. the only thing im really gonna use this pc for is the internet and photos and music and watching videos on youtube, etc. I've heard you can play most new games on a mac too but I never have so i woudln't really know what to expect which is why im asking you guys. I also wasn't sure if this was the right place to post this but w/e. Thanks for the help guys.

If you're not gonna be gaming or doing anything intensive why spend $1500 on a Mac or PC? You can surf the net on a $300 PC...even less if you want.

The main problem I have with a mac is they make them so damn idiot proof that if something actually does go wrong, you have to delve deep into a system you are unfamiliar with and learn on your own how to fix the thing and that my friend is frustrating. Other than that the only problem I have with Mac is the inability to drag and drop. The only reason I don't have one is I don't think I'm cool enough to own one and I never want to buy a pre-built system again.

Agree.

 

If your looking for portability with long battery life. You could wait for Nvidia Tegra netbooks and laptops to hit the market. If you haven't heard of Tegra, you can check it out in my Sig.

 

You could always save money from buying an entire new computer, by converting your current one to a Hackintosh, with a legit retail copy of OSX. Revision's Legit Hackintosh Guide
