GmAz Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 Then you got a nice cooling system. check the bis temps to help verify. use whtaever is highest and there ya go.
Agallion Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 i have a tornado 92 mm and slk 900 (used artic alumnia instead of artic silver) but i heard the probe was off a bit? and is folding a good way to load?
Kenablo Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 I use asus probe to and @ full load he says 50-52c, but then bios says like 37-40 <_< So i use the feel method, and its definatly not 37-40 So i think asus probe is quite accurate
Agallion Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 meh need more opinions on this
ClayMeow Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 asus probe is accurate. However, some people complain that it uses the core temp instead of the diode, or something like that....but for me the diode was only a few degrees hotter, and i like the probe better than mbm
char1ie Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 My rpobe works fine and is almost right on with my bios, bo with whatever one you like more, that way you cna be happy :-D
anthony Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 the probe is accurate.. when im folding at 100 percent, which is most of the time. i hit 45 degrees celcius and 38 for my mother board.. on startup my cpu is 40 and mobo is 30 both my bios and my probe say that .. so im guessing its accurate
Agallion Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 hmm right now my load is at 36C..now bad if i do say so my self but of course it is slightly cooler in my room then normal excellent maybe i can up my overclock now
InvaderTrax Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 ...is folding a good way to load? Not really. You want a good way to test load? Play a game (Halo, Battlefield, even Need For Speed III will do) for half an hour, then exit quickly and check your temps
captor Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 its usualy only a few degrees off compared to the bios temps, I've had no reasons to misstrust it.
huskurdu Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 I've been using CPU Cool v.7.2.9 and was easily able to play BF1942 and from the BF menu alt-tab to see temps. Just leave CPU Cool running in the 'small window'. You cannot do anything but view your desktop (and everything on it), but the mouse usually does not even appear. Then you must alt-tab back to the game menu to continue. But at least you don't need to get all the way out to check.
