Hi, I'm going to build a new AMD system. But I'm not good at building system so I need help. I don't think do any crossfire or overclock attempt, because of I'm not good at these thinks. My budget about 850 $ so I have to need cheaper parts. My first goal is gaming.

Thanks for your helps.

dcl's build looks good but I'm curious when not bump the 720 to a 940 or the 4870 to a 4890. There's room in the budget.

It's a solid build as is, and I'm for coming in under budget, but those seem like two pretty big upgrades that would make a big difference. Also, the DDR3 is not necessary at all, and if you drop that for a DDR2 board and DDR2 memory, you might have enough money in the budget for BOTH a HD4890 and the 940 quad processor.

I did it to help keep the price down and later on he could upgrade, it's something I did with my build.

X3 720 is much better than the X2 550...

I had the option of buying the 720 but after seeing results in gaming, and the price difference my mind was set. The 550 and 720 are almost equal in performance when it comes to gaming.

EDIT: OP wants to save money and the 550 seems perfect for his needs. Value and performance.

DDR2 is good for me. And for CPU I think I can't buy 940 at all. Phenom II X3 720 or Phenom II X2 550, I can buy. What about chassis? Do someone use Gigabyte cases in there??

Ok here is a set of G-Skill DDR2 800 that if $54.99, as you can see there is only a $10 different in price to the DDR3 I showed you as both are performances ram. The M4N78-Pro by Asus is going to be a decent option or if you are willing to do a bios update the Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3P will tack the 720.

I just had a look on newegg and the Scout is back in stock.

550 BE or 720 BE, I prefer Gigabyte. Tell me a Gigabyte motherpoard, Corsair Rams and ATI HD4830 or HD4850 graphic card (for bucket!) the other parts will be good. But I need a case now.

My prefer looking case is Gigabyte Poseidon 310. Did you find a case like that?

To help keep the cost down go for the 550 BE as there isn't much different in performances with the 720 BE like damian sad.

On the board Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3 supports the new AM3 chips and I found it to be reliable for my sons gaming set up, though it is recommended to do a bios update if you happen to a get Rev 1.0, here is the CPU support list for the board.

I don't recommend Corsair but here is there DDR2 800 ram it's 46.99 for 4GB 2X2GB which are a good price.

I say go with XFX 4850 I use XFX and I fined them to very good and the 4850 is a faster card than the 4830 all so XFX has a double life time warranty.

The case well I only see it on Gigabyte's site and no where it's for sale so I'm thinking it's new and not out yet but I could be wrong. Here's a case by NZXT called Apollo, I have one for my sons PC and it's easy to work with and the price is 69.99.
