Eva_Unit_0 Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 www.frozencpu.com sells some uv reactive water dyes. They claim it only takes a few drops, so that shouldn't mess anything up, right?
justinal Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 it works ive got the dye im just trying to figure out what you can put in it to stop corrusion but not be to harsh where i can still use uv dye in it ive got the dye but when i put the antifreeze in it last time it looked horribly now i have so more uv lights to go in it so i need to figure the right combination where i can use the uv dye but still keep corusion out
exeter_acres Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 I use water wetter, but that might affect the color... I did read once about someone putting Azithromycin in. it is an antibiotic.... Â I can't find the link and I don't know if it would work... but might be worth some research

Nuclear Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 I bought the dye from frozencpu and it works great. 2 drops and it will make your water glow like crazy and doesn't stain the tubes.
huskurdu Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 Just a suggestion, I'm not into the water cooling systems yet, but if the old 'green' antifreeze is causing problems you might try the new dexcool (sp?) that GM is putting into their cars now. It has a totally differenct base than the green af. I don't know if I'd be a willing guinea pig, but it may be worth a shot for someone with time.
