The Smith Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 That is awesome. Amazing. The lines that separate video games and motion picture are beginning to dissolve.

fire_storm Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 Looks amazing. When I first looked at it I thought it was a real picture of a house.
taowulf Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 (edited) At no point could i see these as anything than computer generated images. Do they look nice? Yes. Have computer graphics been getting better for years? yes. But since artists have taken paint and make it look real since the 70's, certainly we can expect that to be achieved at some point with computers (other than still images). But I just don't see it yet. Even the best movie CGI fails to trick my eye most of the time....and I have bad vision. P.S. Taco, the first image is a spiral staircase of stone in a tower. Oops, the first image failed to load for me the first time. heath ledger as the Joker? Edited June 29, 2009 by taowulf
ClayMeow Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 The first picture is horrible. The second picture is sweet.

ClayMeow Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 The best part of DX11, which no screen/video will show you, is that it's backwards compatible with DX10...unlike the DX9-to-DX10 jump.
