dat93 Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 I'm looking to build a new budget gaming pc in some weeks and i'm not entirly sure which montor/graphics card I should get. I was orignally going to buy the new HD 4770 and a samsung syncmaster 206bw, I'l still be playing cod4 most of the time because I play competitively for that but I also want to complete a few of my other games over the summer such as red alert3 and crysis. I'm on as low budget as possibly, il be building it all and im hoping to spend at tops
ocre Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 (edited) Monitors is kinda a preference thing. What one likes another may not! I play all the games you mentioned max totally out, even crisis, with a 720 and a gtx260 running at 1680X1050 res, So I think you should be able to unless you pick a real slow CPU or something. When i bought my lcd 18 months ago, I dont like the real bright cartoonish look that some of the more expensive monitors had. I went with a hannsG HG216D for my needs and it really suits me well. I like this monitor a lot, just a year ago we sold many computers with the hannsG. Now lcd displays have improved, I still use the HannsG, it suits my needs and I actually still like the look when i play games, It just gives them a more real look but i can explain it. Most of it is all in your head anyway! So if you seen a syncmaster 206bw and likes it, then get it. I actually have used and messed with a lot of LCDs but never a syncmaster 206bw! dat93 Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 thanks ocre! I'l think I'l get the syncmaster 206bw i'm going for an e7300 probably because its pretty good for gaming and doesn't burn a hole through my pocket lol. I think I should be able to play all my games maxed out and at 1608X1050 with a HD 4770, i might have to tone crysis done a bit but shouldn't be tooo much Although I'm thinking U might spend a little more a buy a 4870. once again thanks for help:D
dling Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 One thing to remember about upgrading your vga card, don't forget about the power demand increse. Make sure your psu is up to the task. :thumbs-up:
