TheRig Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Hello everyone in OCC! It's pretty exciting for me to be part of the community. I've been lurking around for awhile now, thought it'll be good to interact with the community. So, here I am! P.S. I'm very embarrassed to show the specs of my current rig as it's pretty "state-of-the-art". Guess it's time to build a new one soon! TheRig Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Thanks everyone! welcome! and hey it's ok as long as it's not prebuilt It's an "amazing" Pentium 4, solely built from scratch, which pales in comparison to the multi core beasts you guys are using. And its dying.
r3d c0m3t Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Welcome to the Party! Some of us still have our Pentium II's, or their Pro counterparts. List those specs!
TheRig Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Pertium 4 2.93Ghz (now at 3.03 GHz, fooling around by pushing it 138x22 since its pretty much screwed anyways, original's 133x22), 2+1GB KVR, 250 IDE HDD (dying), dead 20x IDE DVDRW, lousy dusty a-brand-never-heard-before casing, 450W PSU inclusive (no 80+ whatsoever). You'll be surprise I'm still pushing it to work.
nickosha Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Welcome to OCC. Up until I joined, I was still using a P4 1.4GHZ pre-built Dell so don't even worry about your computer. I could totally understand if you feel like building a new one though

TheRig Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Welcome to OCC. Up until I joined, I was still using a P4 1.4GHZ pre-built Dell so don't even worry about your computer. I could totally understand if you feel like building a new one though Thanks for understanding my situation. It really stinks badly when the system couldn't multitask at all, endless laggy issues especially for someone who's using some CPU intensive softwares. The worst bit it keeps breaking down, endless self remedies, endless reformatting, well.
