redtigerdragon Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I think they are going to bring it back. Link. I couldn't get the link in the article to work, but the comments are hilarious.
Verran Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I've heard several times now that they might bring Futurama back. That would be AWESOME if they did, but I'll believe it when I see it. I love that show but I know why it failed. Most people don't get it, plain and simple. It's a small demographic. If they change that, it won't be Futurama anymore. mikeock Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 The mini movies, short series, that keep coming out are awesome. One of my fav. shows! I hope it is coming back!

Andrewr05 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 AWESOME! I agree with Verran though, even though it has its dumb moments a lot of it has technological mumbo jumbo (true or not) that a large portion of TV viewers just aren't into. If they were to change it to accommodate "the masses" it just won't have its wittiness and technological humor. I'm hoping its the same old Futurama and it just gets shown to more and more people, that way more people are subjected to the WIN that is Futurama... redtigerdragon Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Just an update, comedy central officially announced it was doing futurama.
Verran Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Just an update, comedy central officially announced it was doing futurama. I'm disappointed that this wasn't announced with "Good news, everyone!" like the professor always does That's really cool though, it may actually have a chance to work in its own way on Comedy Central. I liked this quote from the article too: “We’re thrilled Futurama is coming back,” Groening said. “We now have only 25,766 episodes to make before we catch up with Bender and Fry in the year 3000.”
UkJenT Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Futurama is awesome. I don't know how anyone couldn't like it.

psycho_terror Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 cautiously optimistic here. from the last couple of movies i was starting to think maybe futurama had run it's course, however even if the quality starts to take a dive, i know full well that if they keep making it, i will keep watching it.
