gearmonkey Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I'm hoping you guys can help me with my next cooler purchase. I'm considering the Thermolab Baram CPU Cooler which is finally in stock and available in the US. I first read about it at FrostyTech and its ranked in the top 5. Anyways, I am torn between the Baram and the Prolimatech Megahalems CPU Cooler which I hear is better than the TRUE. Which do you think is best for the Intel i7 1366? Thanks! Zertz Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 From what I read, the Megahalem is right on par with the TRUE, not too sure about the Baram though. I know Noctua is coming with something new too : http://neoseeker.com/news/10923-noctua-sho...er-at-computex/ Anyway, none of those are a bad choice really. I favor the Noctua (I have the current NH-U12P) because it comes with two quiet/silent fans and cools well
gearmonkey Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Wow, that Nocuta is huge! I bet the new Noctua is great but I wonder why they would bother making such a heatsink since it looks and probably performs identical to Thermalright's IFX-14. I'd like to see FrostyTech review the Prolimatech Megahalems and see where it falls in their top 5 coolers. I think the Baram is ranked above the TRUE in their lineup. Too many good coolers to choose from!
