Venocide Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 1.5GB NVIDIA Quadro CX, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), GDDR3, SLi, 2xDisplayPort/ DL DVI-I/ Stereo Port. I know its for rendering and not gaming but I was wondering if any1 has used it? Maybe someone on here could bench it against other cards....? I know its useless but would be neat to see. Any1 else agree?
ocre Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 (edited) I have never used one but i can predict that on games, as long as the resolution isnt ungodly high, on most games the CX will perform in the gtx 260 to the gtx 280 range. There will probably a few games which tack advantage of the huge vram and yeild results over the gtx 285. but I doubt any cases that it will surpass the GTX 295 in any game, although there might be a couple that they are pretty close in. Its just a gt200 gpu with a heck of a lot of vram, all that extra vram can give you an advantage in some games but most games it isnt even gona make any differeence, as long as the resoltion isnt super high, know if the res is way over 2048X1536 then you may see the CX pull ahead of all the 1gig or less cards Edited June 4, 2009 by ocre
