firefox11 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I've been using an ati 2900 since I started folding with OCC and was holding around 120th place forever. Now since I've switched to Win 7 64bit (from vista 64bit) and since the 9.4 drivers on either windows platform, I have been unable to keep a folding gpu going for more than 120seconds. I'm not overclocking my video card, but I have moved the fan to 43% (any more than that and I'd have a tornado behind my comp). Anyone have idea's, suggestions, good wishes, etc ??? Verran Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 It seems like you're attributing your problem to your team rank. That doesn't make sense. I would try increasing fan speed. Maybe you're overheating. Also consider different drivers.

Also consider different drivers. No I don't attribute anything to my team rank. I just included that info to show how much I've lost. I understand that new cards (multiple cards) are out and will bypass me. What I was trying to show was that until about 20 days ago I was having no trouble and now I can't even get past 1 unit. I was hoping someone would be able to say "it's cat 9.4 (or win 7) and here is the fix". As I said I'm using rivertuner not overclocking but running my fan at 43% (which is higher than stock). Should I underclock for these drivers/windows version?? I'm using a 256-bit R600 with 512mb DDR3 memory (stock 601 core 1600 memory). scr4wl Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I have the same problem as you while using the 9.4 drivers and vista. I'm fairly certain it's the drivers because I reverted to the 9.3 and reinstalled F@H. It might have been the reinstall as well though

It might have been the reinstall as well though Thanks for the info, I'll try to find 9.3's for win 7 and hope it fixes my problem. So far 9.3's are working for me under win 7 64.
