Guest ajmatson Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I was just wondering if anyone else here is into collecting foreign banknotes? I am looking to do some trading to get my collection back up before I sold most of it a few years back.
Andrewr05 Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I don't collect foreign notes all that much but I collect miscellaneous stamps, U.S. pennies and coinage in general. I do have a Venezuelan 20 note and 1($) note from Trinidad and Tobago if your interested. (pics if you want) I'd be willing to trade them for some old pennies, anything from like 1942 and below. (I have a few below that but I don't have any whole mintage sets) The oldest I have is a 1913 of unknown mintage...
Guest ajmatson Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Cool I don't have much in the way of coinage but let me go thru and see if I have any of what you are looking for.

Andrewr05 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I wonder if its easier to get European notes now that most of them are unused since a lot of countries use Euros now? (sentence structuralization ftw!)
jammin Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I wonder if its easier to get European notes now that most of them are unused since a lot of countries use Euros now? Or maybe harder as they are no longer in circulation? Anyway, my dad collects stamps and coins and things (he's a hoarder ). Slowly selling things off on eBay (I help by taking pictures), but there's a lot of it. Not really any bank notes unfortunately. A lot of it pretty fascinating though, particularly if you come across something old that looks better than a coin I could pull out of my pocket today. A few pictures:

slugbug Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 (edited) Not a collector but I have an old Confederate $20 bill which is in pretty poor condition. Also have a few French Francs and Centimes, as well as some Danish and German coins from when I vacationed there in '79.
